We are also experienced with all aspects of heritage streetcar operations.  Arthur N. Gaudet has been an active member of the New England Electric Railway Historical Society (Seashore Trolley Museum) since 1968, and has been a qualified Streetcar Motorman.  He also has worked on streetcar maintenance and rebuilding; and overhead line and track maintenance, so he has a bottom to top understanding, from the pit to overhead..  So

In 1989, he served as the first Operations Manager of the (then) new McKinney Avenue Transit Authority in Dallas.  He was responsibile for developing policies and procedures, training operators, loss prevention, and control.  He assisted the property through the shakedown phase, transforming a casual, unscheduled operation into a formal, scheduled transit operaation.  Today, MATA is not just a visitor's streetcar ride, area residents use it for public transportation, just as they do with adjacent bus routes.

He has also worked with Aspen, Colorado, and Victoria, British Columbia, when those cities were investigating streetcars as an alternative for a downtown circulator. 

He maintains an extensive library of early Street Railway reference works, pertaining to all aspects of Street Railway Design, Operation, and Maintenance. Sre also experienced with all aspects of heritage streetcar operations.  Arthur N. Gaudet has been an active member of the New England Electric Railway Historical Society since 1968, and maintains credentials as a Qualified Streetcar Motorman.

Later, in partnership with Street Railway Associates of Dallas, he developed a draft operating budget for the Aspen (CO) Street Railway Company, a proposed downtown shuttle operation.  He also participated in the Chattanooga, Tennessee Downtown Circulator Study, reviewing route and vehicle (both rail and rubber tire) alternatives.

When Victoria, British Columbia proposed a historic streetcar downtown circulator operation serving tourism, downtown and provincial government employment, and commercial needs, he developed ridership projections as the rail transportation specialist for Sypher:Mueller International of Ottawa, Ontario.

Mr. Gaudet maintains an extensive library of early Street Railway reference works, pertaining to all aspects of Street Railway Design, Operation, and Maintenance.
