We're also experienced with all aspects of heritage streetcar operations.  Arthur N. Gaudet has been an active member of the New England Electric Railway Historical Society since 1968, and maintains credentials as a Qualified Streetcar Motorman.

In 1989, he served as the first Operations Manager of the new  McKinney Avenue Transit Authority in Dallas.  He was responsible for developing policies and procedures, training operators, scheduling, loss prevention and control.  He assisted the property through the shakedown phase, transforming a casual, unscheduled operation into a formal, scheduled transit operation.

Later, in partnership with Street Railway Associates of Dallas, he developed a draft operating budget for the Aspen (CO) Street Railway Company, a proposed downtown shuttle operation.  He also participated in the Chattanooga, Tennessee Downtown Circulator Study, reviewing route and vehicle (both rail and rubber tire) alternatives.

When Victoria, British Columbia proposed a historic streetcar downtown circulator operation serving tourism, downtown and provincial government employment, and commercial needs, he developed ridership projections as the rail transportation specialist for Sypher:Mueller International of Ottawa, Ontario.

Mr. Gaudet maintains an extensive library of early Street Railway reference works, pertaining to all aspects of Street Railway Design, Operation, and Maintenance.
